Dear Madam, dear Sir,
FATIPEC, the prestigious European Federation of Coatings Scientists and Technicians, since 60 years contributes to spread and improve the scientific culture concerning the Coatings Industry. For this purpose, FATIPEC organizes every 2 years a very important and well known Congress, which is the major event for all the professionals involved in the interested industries. The XXX FATIPEC Congress will be organized by AITIVA, the Italian Association of Paints and Related Industries Technicians, founder member of FATIPEC, who already successfully organized previous Congresses: in Milan (1959), in Florence (1972), in Venice (1986) and in Turin (2000). The next XXX FATIPEC Congress will be hosted in Italy, in the city of Genoa, from 9th through 11th November 2010, inside the new “Fiera del Mare” pavilions, recently opened, where annually the famous “International Nautical Exibition” takes place.
We are glad to invite you to attend this important event. FATIPEC also invites the other CSI members (ACA, JSCM, OCCA, SATER, SCAA, SCANZ, SLF, STAR) to attend the Congress.
THE THEME OF THE CONGRESS IS: COATINGS THROUGHOUT THE THIRD MILLENNIUM: EVOLUTION, INNOVATION OR REVOLUTION?
Also in the past our industry had to face many severe challenges, but it had always the capacity to react and improve itself by innovation. On the other side, we never saw such a worldwide financial and industrial crisis, as it is now, affecting so dramatically the development of this important industrial sector. The current situation forces to implement new strategies in all company departments: R&D, Production, Marketing, Logistic. It seems the economic trend started to improve, but not yet in a definitive and substantial way. When FATIPEC will gather the international coatings scientists and technicians, could be the time to verify whether the Western economy will be again in a good shape. Attending the XXX FATIPEC Congress will be an opportunity to benefit of an high level scientific programme and to get up-dated on the latest developments in coatings science and technologies. Participation shall also enable professionals, coming from all over the world, to meet colleagues and to establish long lasting technical and friendly relationships. In conclusion, the FATIPEC Congress 2010 can actually be the starting point to identify the focus where to point out the new R&D strategies THROUGHOUT THE THIRD MILLENNIUM. Last but not least, this will be an opportunity to join the leading Coatings Show in Southern Europe, Eurocoat Exhibition, held alternatively in France, Italy and Spain, which will be organized in the same days and location of the FATIPEC Congress.
